it took a bit to register, but full

Notes

weird 1.0 and 1.1 and 1.3 remind me of pancake batter (i do make mine with vanilla) but 1.2 makes me think of something trying to be healthier.

Taste

warm & cold: sweet, vanilla, followed by a floury finish

warm & cold: milk consistency, gritty

Fullness

not overly full, no longer ravenous

Notes

Got this in a trade, thanks, excited to try as many as possible. After refrigeration it separated and needed shaking again. Kinda gassy now I guess this is the stinky soylent farts everyone was referring to (which I found were less, and went away after adjustment period with 1.3, 1.4, 1.5). Taste doesn't bother me, I expected it to be different based on all the chatter about OMG ITS BETTER when i joined the community with 1.3.

Taste
warm: floury, malty, something just - off
cold: nice and blank

Texture
warm: smoother, still powder chunks when shaken but somehow less gritty even though at the time prior ones didn’t seem gritty
cold: smooth

Fullness
warm/cold: nauseously full after 2 pints

Notes
i do not like the new flavor, it seems less neutral. I prefer 1.3 and 1.4 and hope they go back that way at some point. Right now the most available meal replacement i like (since i can’t get more 1.3 and 1.4) is joy lent. based on the fact i actually can get 1.3 and 1.4 in r/soylentmarket if i run out of ones to try i’ll restock those first (plug, check my spreadsheet, am i missing brands? can we trade for any i missing?). I like it cold. I dislike that I don't like it warm. so 1.3 1.4 and joylent still are preferred by me.

My poop are green today (currently doing a day of soylent 1.3)

i am gassy, but i've always been gassy, but they have gotten stinky lately

Current issues: a known weird batch that tastes off - replaced after some photos

Day 13

Back to Soylent 1.3

I just could not make myself take the time to chew chew chew and drink a meal square as planned this morning

Breakfast: ~8oz Soylent 1.3 for breakfast
Morning snacks: Not snacking before lunch, full
Lunch: 2 PBJ on English muffins (raisin)
Afternoon snacks: dried peaches, jellybeans, some soylent to stop the snacking.

#Soylent v1.3 instead of 1.4 - thinner, grittier (even after sitting overnight) has a flavor supposed to be vanilla but is weird.

I prefer v1.4

UPDATE: i didn't feel as instantly full after v1.3 but i still wasn't hungry/hangry by lunch time. I have not snacked or wanted to snack all morning.

UPDATE 2: has another serving for dinner while driving 8 hours home, worked to keep me from buying food at rest stops but i did have to buy some water

had pre made (tue night) soylent in a nalgene again this morning for breakfast
unlike yesterday i seem to be getting hungry before lunchtime :(

refrigerated overnight.

Harder to chug than pint glass but much better thsn the straw on day 3. Taste difference to me warm v cold is negligible. It is smoother though after sitting.

PSA - do not use a starbucks grande plastic double walled iced beverage tumbler with straw to drink soylent, it's too thick, takes forever

pint glass and chugging is superior IMO

Also i didn't find much different warm versus cold

kind of considering eating all the food i have and switching to breakfast soylent, diner soylent and work real lunch? right now it's just breakfast snack and late night snack

So I am trying Soylent

(i have never tried previous)

Tastes like oatmeal *shrug* i was worried because online they talk about it being awful

it is very filling, i have been having 1 scoop (250cal) for breakfast instead of carnation instant breakfast - and instead of shortly being hungry again i am actually full into lunch (but eat anyway as i am very busy at work)

considering replacing lunch at work but i like occasionally being social

once i run through the pantry and freezer contents I may consider replacing dinner, or maybe as it runs down do some nights soylent and some cook or buy

why: i hate cooking for one, it wastes time
sometimes i am really tired and just eat crap food instead

this will be more nutritious than what i cook (i don't well balance fruit, veg etc), faster, less dishes

some people do crazy things like make into pancakes, cookies, smoothie but i feel if i am going to do that then i am just going to make pancakes or a smoothie etc

we'll see if that changes

this is only my second serving / day at 1 of 3

slightly gassier than normal but i get gassy a lot anyway
