1. Describe a significant experience that has happened in the past year. How did it affect you? Are you grateful? Relieved? Resentful? Inspired?
Disney Cruise to Alaska, as our honeymoon, the last state i needed to visit. It was a lot of fun. Disney has great customer service.
KubeCon in Detroit, MI - enjoyed seeing Zeus, and getting to try Kubecon, but overall thats not my people. Also had a great breakfast with Tabatha.
San Diego November, last visit with Zach, had a lovely time
Zach broke up with me, for good reason, i was not present enough and spending enough time with him. Honestly this flaw is with all my partners and as he needed more, I couldn't blame him at all. Still makes me sad but at least I am not failing so hard. I still have the times I think Zach would like this, but i rarely send.
Yaffa and Mylan broke up, a surprise to me, they were together since i knew them, over ten years. hopefully they are both better for it in the end. I am planning to visit Mylan, and hopfully a quick trip to see yaffa, I guess we will figure out how I feel and what next after that.
Visited Troutman in Maine, had to work for some of it, but was nice to see his home and other partners. No idea How he does all that driving and keeps so busy, I wish more of the busy paid so perhaps he could work less and spend more time with his people.
First in person RSA, power outage having to drag bags down 13? 20? flights of stairs, awful. the poor hotel staff. RSA was good but exhausting for an introvert, and not sure we netted any money from it. We'll try again next year and see if others do better.
OLT Summer Event, it was lovely to see James and Eva and Dan etc all again. Got to spend a day with Ross before hand and a day with Hitsman after. Drove from montreal as it made the most sense. Living far away sucks.
TDI on a monday was interesting, we're trying it again next year we think. Made for a very long week in vegas, and i still ran around trying to deliver badges and other nonsense even though there was no skytalks. i also am not fond of being an attendee.
Starcruiser needs it's own writeup, amazing and heartbreaking it's ending. https://amazonv.dreamwidth.org/1300716.html
It was a year full of good experiences. I am grateful I had so many. I am exhausted. I am always exhausted. I want to be retired.
