Maid tip $5
Woke up 6am and had oatmeal in my room
got parking $20
Yoga - nerdy yoga! it was nice to do yoga again
recon on locations for future classes, lots of being lost
cafe noodles - $5
Knife fighting class
So we used pvc pipe, and it was a large class. We were supposed to block, move using their momentum out of center line, then get away, ideally to their side or back. Block actually meant push their arm away with their momentum away from you making space to clear center line.
My unfortunate response was scream and freeze or run but not clear to side or out of center line.
A quick jaunt through the vendor area - ended up with $15 belt to replace one a friend took, and plans to go back and see more another time and had my head scanned and purchased 2 mini figs with my head $70 (a sorcerer with raven and a paladin which i would use as cleric)
1 hour of GM101 - great lecture should have stayed for 2 hours but wanted to get to office during hours
I have a weird desire to pop into offices of my employer.
With my former employer I visited all but 2 of their data centers and most of the offices globally.
Visited employer local office.
It was a shared building with another tenant who moved out and my employer took the space. There is some very loud renovations going on. it's basically two departments only, with apparently a touch of us vs them. the C-Store break area is spacious and lovely with small tables and chairs well spaced. You can buy drinks and snacks from the kiosks. Plenty of microwaves and fridge space to keep your food if you want to pack. The office has all bright new paint and carpet. Apparently they are getting brand new chairs even though the old ones aren't old.
I loved how their wood floor was a much more earthy tone than my offices grey tone. The exact same wall art is everywhere though, and inescapable (the company mascot and core values).
The desks were all very new, but the same format as the ones we have. The managers get high walled cubes instead of offices though.
There was a lot, though possibly not enough if they keep growing parking on site.
Security was present, but there was not the level we have at our office, it's more floor based then centralized (think retrofitted airports with security at each hallway instead of before the central corridor).
Apparently the IT staff here lends itself out as consultants which seems awesome.
I got a food recommendation and then was on my way.
Although no food was walk able there were plenty of fast casual places a short drive away, many which seem to have curbside/to-go.
Apparently taxes are reasonable and it's a nice place to live. It looks like it.
The North End BBQ $32 very lovely place and very delicious
-pulled pork sandwich
-easy lover cocktail
Parking $20
Intro to thermoplastic sculpting - i am a terrible artist but the material was fun
Skipped masquerade ball, too tired :(
came back to hotel and doing some internet before sleep
$167, so $67 over budget
