"1 billion people in the world have a disability. Every time a person with a disability is assisted, you are affecting another 6 billion people because the rest of the world interacts with people with disabilities. When we assist a person with a disability, we benefit everyone."
I didn't know his wife was deaf!
cute story about her being a 53 year old teenager
interesting that he was motivated by email - being able to work asynchronously and be able to not have to worry if he heard people correctly (maybe we wouldn't have the same internet we had today without that motivation!)

Some interesting facts about the (free and paid) tooling to test accessibility, stressing again empathy, shifting left, and only stopping builds on things you are sure are true positives and informing but not stopping on indeterminate. They did this by focusing on specific things then expanding. Stressing on the recent growth of the tooling, and the importance of the internet especially in the COVID pandemic world. Also more empathy building. So many people if they are unaware they know disabled people don't think about it.
