***~~~***BROADCAST***~~~***
Okay friends. I am going to be moving to Virginia in early December (around the 3rd). It's not for the CustomInk gig. It's a wholly other kind of deal-thing, which I'll post details about at a later time, but I'm super excited about it. Except for one thing.
Tweed and Vest will need to be rehomed. And it's super painful to have to make that choice but I don't think moving them across the country would be fair, and they deserve a more stable caretaker who doesn't move around so much. I'm not making this choice lightly, so please refrain from any comments about how I should not have gotten cats in the first place, because I already know that now, and I don't need to be lambasted for my wrong decision. They've been my biggest support over the last 18 months, so a future without them is pretty scary right now.
But they do need a new, loving furever home. If you or someone you know in the LOS ANGELES area (preferably) would be able to take them in, that would be ideal. They are paired, so I would like to keep them together if at all possible.
Please let me know, and feel free to share with any friends who are looking for amazing kittehs.
KITTEH FACTS:
**TWEED** JACKET - 1.5ish years. Female. Spayed. Chipped.
Black and white tuxedo kitty. Short hair. Shots up-to-date.
Size: 8-9 pounds, small-medium housecat.
Tweed is very energetic, and loves Vest, but is not very affectionate with other animals (that I know of). She doesn't fight with them, she just kind of ignores them. She is easily startled, but adventurous, loving, and a super soft purr box. She likes to cuddle without being pet, but loves receiving pets at all other times. She loves to climb. Tweed can be a chatterbox, but she's not annoying about it. Her favorite place to sleep is on top of my legs when I'm sleeping or lying down.
Habits - Tweed likes to chew on things, especially plastic! She will try to eat it, and she has eaten McDonald's Monopoly game pieces and package stickers before, with no harm done. She will want whatever food you have as well, though I don't give her any human food.
SWEATER **VEST** - 1.5ish years. Male. Neutered. Not chipped.
Orange and white tabby kitty. Short hair. Shots up-to-date.
Size: About 18-20 pounds, giant housecat.
Vest is incredibly affectionate and patient. He makes the best expressions, too. He loves to cuddle and get pets on his head while being cuddled. He loves pets any other time as well. He is BFFs with Tweed, they cuddle and play together all the time, and he likes other animals after getting to know them (I have a 14 year old dog, and Vest tries to groom her and make her feel comfortable). Vest doesn't talk a lot, and his voice is very soft. Tweed taught him how to talk after I move to LA. Vest likes to climb, too, but his size keeps him from jumping too high. Vest loves to sit on my chest and likes his face to be near my face.
Habits - Vest will try to take my food sometimes, but he doesn't always try to eat it. If he takes it, he will probably play with it first. He's very quick about stealing it, though. I don't give him human food either, and I take it back if he steals it. Sometimes Vest will chew on things, but he's better about it than Tweed. Vest will go after cables if he's going to chew things.
Tweed and Vest are both ***SUPER FRIENDLY.*** They never draw blood: they don't scratch people (use soft paws) and they don't bite people (gentle nip to let you know when they're overstimulated, but not hard at all). Both are healthy, eat well, drink well, and know how to properly use the litterbox. They are smart and wickedly adorable. They will bring lots of joy to whomever is able to care for them next, and they deserve a super loving home.
